Traumatic Births- Debriefing and Healing
Trigger warning: Below you will find many different conversations discussing various types of birth events that have been traumatic.
As students and midwives (and all other kinds of birth workers), we often don't have the ability to debrief births and even when we do, it is hard to move on. Traumatic births can have a negative effect on our view of midwifery and ourselves, especially if we are unable to heal from them.
Please use this forum as a way to debrief a hard birth and uplift others by sharing your similar experience, how you are healing/have healed, and feel free to start zoom calls, phone calls, and social media/text groups with people within this forum to encourage further discussion and healing.
